Our code of conduct serves as a guiding principle, ensuring that every student, regardless of age or skill level, can fully immerse themselves in the art of dance while fostering a sense of discipline, teamwork, and personal growth. By adhering to our code, we aim to create an atmosphere that celebrates the joy of movement, promotes self-expression, and ultimately nurtures a lifelong love for dance.
Conduct for Parents:
-Parents are expected to support the goals and mission of Illusion Dance Academy, which include fostering a positive dance environment.
-Parents must ensure that their child arrives on time for all classes, rehearsals, and performances.
-Parents will communicate any concerns, questions, or issues with the appropriate faculty or staff members in a respectful and timely manner.
-Parents will encourage their child to demonstrate good sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork towards fellow dancers, instructors, and staff members.
-Parents will stay outside of the classroom for all dance classes and private lessons.
-Parents are expected to adhere to all policies, procedures, and guidelines set forth by Illusion Dance Academy.
General Code of Conduct for Dancers:
-Dancers will arrive on time for all classes, rehearsals, and performances, and be prepared and dressed appropriately.
-Dancers must show respect towards their instructors, fellow dancers, and staff members at all times. -Dancers will follow instructions and demonstrate good behavior, discipline, and focus during classes, rehearsals, and performances.
-Dancers will take care of the studio property and facilities and report any damage or safety concerns to the appropriate staff members.
-Dancers must exhibit good sportsmanship and support their peers in their dance journey.
Code of Conduct for Parents and Dancers regarding Respect and Professionalism:
-Parents and dancers must show respect and professionalism towards all individuals associated with Illusion Dance Academy, including instructors, staff members, fellow dancers, and other parents.
-Bullying, harassment, discrimination, or any form of disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.
-Dancers and parents will refrain from engaging in gossip or spreading rumors about other dancers, parents, or staff members.
-Instructors, staff members, and fellow dancers will be addressed in a respectful manner, using appropriate language and tone.
Code of Conduct for Parents and Dancers regarding Attendance and Commitment:
-Dancers are expected to attend all classes, rehearsals, and performances unless they have a valid reason for absence, which should be communicated to the appropriate staff members in advance.
-Parents will support their child's commitment to attending classes, rehearsals, and performances regularly and ensure they arrive on time.
-If a dancer repeatedly misses classes without valid reasons, it may result in the loss of performance opportunities, or alteration of dance routines.
-We will never leave a child at the studio alone without supervision. However, please pick up your child promptly after class. If a parent is late to picking up their child by more than 15 minutes (last class of the night), that parent is responsible for paying for the teacher's time to stay and wait with them.
Code of Conduct for Parents and Dancers regarding Dress Code and Studio Policies:
-Dancers must adhere to the dress code established by Illusion Dance Academy for each class, rehearsal, and performance.
-Parents must ensure that their child is appropriately dressed in attire and hairstyle for each dance activity.
-Dancers and parents will familiarize themselves with and follow all studio policies, including those related to safety, behavior, and studio etiquette.
Consequences for Violating the Code of Conduct:
Illusion Dance Academy reserves the right to take appropriate action if the code of conduct is not followed by parents or dancers. This may include verbal warnings, written warnings, probation, suspension, or immediate termination of enrollment. If a student's enrollment is terminated due to violation of the code of conduct, there will be no pro-rated refunds for any unused portion of the tuition.
**Illusion Dance Academy reserves the right to suspend or dismiss any student whose conduct or attitude, or whose parent's conduct or attitude, is inappropriate or disrespectful. Illusion Dance Academy reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
